#11 Saturn Song

Look out of any window any morning, any evening, any day Maybe the sun is shining birds are winging or rain is falling from a heavy sky - What do you want me to do,to do for you to see you through?

Now this is news you won’t find on TV: you can actually listen to the sounds of Saturn and Titan. Thank you, NASA. More in Wired. Very Psychadelic. Groovy.

Have I mentioned that this is very, very, very cool? It is. Because it’s a bit of real news. This is something we, the human race, didn’t know about before. This is something we can listen to, experience and feel on a visceral level. This is sensory data from another world, baby. And this is the kind of news where nobody dies and nobody gets hurt. And there are no terrorists on Titan. And so, I suppose, it’s not really interesting for mainstream media. Just had to say that. But it would have been too long in the post.

  2. This is wonderful. I just tried it with the lights off. It gave my cat the creeps, but I found it better than yoga or some other hocus-pocus like that. I imagined I can hear signals from Nostromo and Millenium Falcon, but that’s just me being geeky.

Oh … I loved it on the Nostromo. I was a cleaning subsystem third level AI routine. I beamed out after the Alien started eating the humans and gutting teh androids. Fortunately a factory ship picked up my collated subspace consciousness pattern and restructured me as an autonomous ore assessment subroutine.

Allergic to Wookie fur? Me? A synthetic pseudo-homo-morphic piece of AI routines? Surely you jest.

Have you seen the Family Guy Star Wars?

Do that, Baby, do that. A long, long time ago, in a Universe far, far away, even further than the shopping mall in the next town over, not quite as far away as the train station …

  8. Instead of watching important political discussions I am watching a Star Wars spoof. Tc tc, you are making me a disobedient citizen, dear Hamster lord. And I am enjoying every minute of it. Reminds me of Spaceballs.
