Dave Taylor Joins Prospiant as General Manager of CEA in Canada

Prospiant continues to expand its leadership team with the appointment of Dave Taylor as General Manager of CEA (Canada). He reports directly to Prospiant President Burk Metzger.

Dave brings more than 17 years of experience in CEA technology and greenhouse automation to his new role.

As General Manager of CEA, he’ll take the lead on advancing Prospiant’s operational capabilities and customer support throughout Canada. He’ll oversee day-to-day manufacturing and project operations to ensure everything stays on time and within budget while meeting Prospiant’s quality standards. He’ll also focus on productivity improvements, resource management, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Dave’s background includes deep technical expertise in electrical and electronic systems, irrigation controls, and climate controls — a passion first sparked during his long tenure at Priva.

Most recently, he served as Enterprise Solutions Manager at AdeptAg, where he helped growers across North America adopt advanced automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Prospiant for many years on the supplier side, and I’m very excited to join this team of professionals,” says Dave. “At the heart of everything Prospiant does is our commitment to putting the customer first — delivering tailored greenhouse solutions that support its vision. We believe innovation and sustainability go hand in hand, and we’re proud to help growers thrive.”

Beyond his professional roles, Dave serves as a member of the Controls and Automation working group under the Resource Innovation Institute in Canada, where he contributes to industry-wide best practices for environmental controls in CEA.

“Dave’s deep technical knowledge and strategic vision make him the ideal leader to grow our Canadian and U.S. footprint,” says Burk Metzger, President of Prospiant. “His commitment to innovation and customer success aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver best-in-class greenhouse solutions across North America.”
