TOPEKA — Winter weather engulfed the Topeka-area and the state over the weekend. With schools closing due to weather, athletic events were cancelled as well.
There was only one varsity athletic event scheduled for Monday. Washburn Rural girls basketball’s scheduled road game against Olathe North has been cancelled for Monday night.
The game will be moved to a later date, but it has not been confirmed yet.
