Another winter storm blew through the Augusta area, with many residents waking up to a very white Wednesday morning.
According to National Weather Service snowfall reports from the last 24 hours, most of the areas in Richmond, Columbia, and Aiken counties saw about 1-2 inches. Meanwhile, Waynesboro saw about 3 inches.

How much snow did Georgia get?
In comparison, the metro Atlanta area saw about the same amount. South Georgia got it much worse, with some areas around Savannah seeing up to 4 inches while areas near Albany saw up to 8 inches.

This is the second winter storm to hit Augusta and many other areas of Georgia. The first came on Jan. 10 with Augusta seeing about 1 inch of snow, according to NOAA data.
How are I-20 and other roads near Augusta?
According to a news release from Georgia Department of Transportation, teams have worked through the night to clear snow from routes in east-central Georgia.
