Jesse Ventura: Donald Trump Stole My Playbook, He Couldn’t Hold A Candle To Me In A Debate

WWE Hall of Famer and former Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura has been outspoken throughout his career, and he recently made some comments about President-elect Donald Trump.

Speaking on The Bill Simmons Podcast, Jesse Ventura claimed that Donald Trump stole his political playbook.

“He took all of it. He’s still riding it and they won’t admit it,” Jesse Ventura said. “They wanted he took all of it. Took my playbook. I didn’t raise money, I held rallies. You know how much money I raised to become governor? 300,000. Yeah. Well, it’s interesting, that’s all I raised. If I ran for, I’ll tell you what, I could have beat either one. I could have won the presidency if Mark Cuban would have backed me financially, like who do you call it, backed Trump? I’d have beat both of them if I don’t want to do. Right now, and Trump knows it.

“You want to know why he knows it? He’s in the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. He knows damn well. I’m the greatest talker there’s ever been in wrestling. He knows damn well. He couldn’t hold a candle to me. If I had a debate with him, the best thing he could do would be sitting in the chair, keep his mouth shut and let me talk. Physically, he wouldn’t be able to tip day. Donald Trump knows deep in his heart. And Jesse Ventura has never lost an election. I would have been the biggest threat he ever had out there because I’d have beat him. And you know why else I’d have beat him? I ain’t a criminal.”

Jesse Ventura: Let’s Watch The Next Four Years

Simmons then brought up that Trump said Ventura’s style of straight-talking was the future of politics in 2000. Ventura responded that Trump took it beyond that, and he claimed that Trump would say whatever he wanted to say. He noted that they should watch the next four years to see what happened.

“He didn’t talk straight, he took it beyond that, he took it to wrestling, lied about everything,” Jesse Ventura said. “He’d just say whatever he wanted to say. I’ll be interested now, and I’ll leave it at this, let’s watch in the next four years how much of that stuff gets implemented.”

Jesse Ventura has been announced for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. More Information is available here. He also attended the December 6 episode of WWE SmackDown.
