Proven Winners billboards are asking gardeners to choose the plants in the white branded containers again this spring. This strategic campaign is designed to bolster brand awareness and increase sales at garden retailers during the peak planting season.
Throughout the spring, Proven Winners billboard ads will generate more than 104 million impressions in 22 U.S. markets, where five distinct designs showcase the garden performance of the brand’s plants. To ensure optimal readability and brand recognition, each design was assessed by digital eye-tracking technology and adjusted for optimal performance. Impression estimates are calculated based on the metrics of one view per car using the most recent traffic figures for each billboard’s location.
For the second time, Proven Winners is also running a weather-triggered campaign across 31 U.S. markets, featuring a mix of new and top-selling varieties, as well as select National Plants of the Year. When temperatures consistently reach 65°F and above in the East, Midwest, and West, or 75°F and above in the South, Proven Winners messaging will appear, reminding viewers that it’s time to plant and encouraging them to visit their local garden retailer.

In Canada, digital billboards in both English and French will be on display from April to June in 18 markets. These rotating messages appear for six to 10 seconds during the peak sales season. Each design features a new ‘Grown in Canada’ logo to showcase Proven Winners’ Canadian greenhouse partners and assure consumers that the dollars they spend on Proven Winners plants remain in their communities. Additionally, by partnering with Toronto-based Pattison Outdoor, Proven Winners is committed to investing in Canadian companies and keeping ad dollars local.
